Robbie – where have you been, dude?

Thank you for asking. That’s very kind of you to show an interest.

Basically, I’ve been taking a sabbatical from writing. Not that I’d been doing too much of it previously, but other stuff came into my life, which meant writing took a back seat. I even tried NaNoWriMo this year, to get into the habit of writing again, but I was always struggling. As a result, I got to around 10,000 words, and sort of fell out of love with my story. It’s still there, and the idea is a good one, I think, but it needs more careful planning before I restart it.

So for the near future, I’m catching up with my email, cranking up this blog (I LOVE WordPress), and I’ll be starting some short stories and flash fiction soon. Real soon. Honest.

    Hi Rob

Just thought I’d pop in and say ‘hello’. Full of admiration for anyone who can tackle NaNoWriMo – I found it hard enough doing a Novel in a Year. Anyway, don’t give up on that novel – you know where you can post it to get some friendly and hopefully constructive comments.

    All the best,
